Summary of Job Duties: The College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, invites nominations and applications for the tenure-track Assistant Professor of Counselor Education position in the Department of Rehabilitation, Human Resources and Communication Disorders.
This is a 9-month, tenure-track position at the assistant professor rank. Contingent on available funding and demand, an additional summer appointment is possible.

Minimum Qualifications: The individual selected for this position will be expected to possess the following required qualifications:


1. An earned doctorate from a nationally recognized and accredited institution in Counselor Education;
2. Eligibility for Arkansas state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC);
3. Doctoral-level preparation in clinical supervision;
4. Commitment to the active pursuit of a research agenda leading to refereed scholarship, professional presentations, and external funding;
5. Strong interest in and a professional commitment to the preparation of professional school counselors, clinical mental health counselors, and counselor educators; 
6. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who possess counseling experience in a K-12 school setting or clinical mental health setting.
