Employee Resource Groups

Employee resource groups provide support to employees with similar experiences and offer a great opportunity to build meaningful relationships.

Welcome Message

University of Arkansas Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led communities that foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with our organizational mission and values. These groups bring together employees who share common characteristics, experiences or interests to provide support, enhance career development, and contribute to personal and professional growth.

Our ERGs play a vital role in:

  • Building community and fostering a sense of belonging
  • Developing leadership skills
  • Enhancing employee engagement and retention
  • Providing valuable insights to shape company policies and practices
  • Supporting recruitment efforts to retain talent
  • Driving innovation through diverse perspectives

The Four Pillars of ERGs

Here at the University of Arkansas, the ERG's are built upon four pillars:
  • Community
  • Culture
  • Career
  • Care

The Equal Opportunity, Compliance, and Title IX, Belonging and Engagement unit supports ERGs focused on various dimensions of protected class, equal opportunity, belonging and inclusion:

Membership

ERG membership is open to all employees who support the group's mission, whether they identify with the specific community or serve as allies. By participating in ERGs, employees can expand their networks, develop new skills, and make meaningful contributions to our inclusive workplace culture.

We encourage all employees to explore our ERG offerings and get involved. Together, we can create a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.
